A 40L backpack with one main pocket, a laptop zipper, and top pocket for small stuff. Adjusts nicely around my body when I'm carrying heavy loads or taking an extended vacation somewhere. Fits as a carry-on on all the airlines in the US and Canada.

20 litres for tooling around the city or taking a day trip. Holds my 13" laptop, a couple changes of clothes, and supplies on top of that.

I have been using this laptop with NixOS since November of 2025 and it has not let me down yet. 16GB of RAM, a 4TB NVMe drive, Ryzen, and a trackpoint. Portable as hell. All I need.

Sonim XP3

I stopped using my Pixel Fold and started using this flip phone. It was $30 at FreeGeek Toronto and features... 4G speeds and texting. I have installed Telegram and WhatsApp on it for when I need to use them while out, but the experience is limited on purpose. This works for me because I'm not on social media that much to begin with and I don't want to be glued to my phone all the time anyway.

This is an e-ink electronic notebook sold by SHARP in Japan; I imported it and wrote a Python program that formats eBooks into importable notebook pages and have been using it as an e-reader.

My lil music player. Smaller than a classic iPod and fits the ThinkPad aesthetic with the red power button. Plays my offline music. I got a cheap pair of IEMs to go along with it.

LOMO LC-A 35mm film camera

I bought this at FreeGeek (same place I got my phone) for $5. When my test roll developed I was ecstatic to see that the camera worked and shot nice pictures, especially since I had to fix a sticky shutter. It takes standard 35mm film and shoots some very "aeshetic" shots with the Minitar 1 art lens.

Casio LF-30W World Time watch

I have already lived in expensive watch land. I do not care about Omega or Rolex. A Casio does the job. I put mine on a black NATO band with an orange accent stripe using a band size extender.
